The Collier County Water Sewer District is an independent special district created by the Florida Legislature. The District currently operates two regulatory-compliant regional water treatment facilities and operates two regional water reclamation facilities and two sub-regional facilities. This year, it will produce 9.8 billion gallons of potable water, treat 7.7 billion gallons of wastewater, and distribute over 5 billion gallons of reclaimed irrigation quality water.

The District has a robust capital improvement program of $66 million with more than 200 active projects focused on renewal and replacement of aging infrastructure.

Following the decision of the governing body of the Collier County Water Sewer District, the addition of fluoride to the public potable water supply was discontinued at 1 p.m. on February 13, 2024.
