Jamie joined Collier County Government in 2003 and has advanced through various positions within the County Managers Agency. As the Department Head for the Growth Management Department (GMD) Community Development and Environmental Services, Jamie provides direct oversight to the various development review, inspections and code enforcement teams within GMD.

Jamie has a Master of Business Administration and is a Certified Public Manager with more than twenty-five years of leadership experience. Jamie has certifications in Public Management, Utility Regulatory Studies, Lean Six Sigma, Floodplain Management (CFM), FEMA Incident Command Systems Instruction (ICS), and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), American Planning Association (APA), Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), Florida Floodplain Managers Association (FFMA), and Contractor's Licensing Association of Florida (CLOAF).

Jamie has successfully directed the development and implementation of floodplain management programs, resiliency planning, and community response solutions in anticipation and response to natural disasters and state of emergency declarations.

Through continued collaborative efforts with federal, state, community, and industry partners, coupled with ever-changing economic conditions, Jamie's focus on strategic planning, customer service, efficiency, quality assurance, team building, and exceeding expectations have resulted in numerous recognitions. With a proven track record in developing and maintaining highly effective teams and while under his leadership, the Growth Management Department earned the National Association of Counties Achievement Award for Building Permit Review Standards: Managing Expectations in 2014, Land Development Review: Exceeding Client Expectations in 2015 and Brilliant Ideas at Work, Using Real-Time Data to Create an Accessible Inspections Environment in 2017.

As an alum of Growing Associates in Naples 2009 and Leadership Collier 2012, Jamie served as the Chairman of Leadership Collier Education and Advocacy Committee 2012 - 2017, Leadership Collier Class Vice-Chairperson 2018, Leadership Collier Class Chairperson 2019 and serves on the Leadership Collier Board of Directors. He was honored with the 2014 Excellence in Public Service Award by Naples Daily News and Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Leadership Collier Foundation.
