Dan was appointed as Deputy County Manager in February 2022, and serves as Chief Operating Officer, managing and overseeing aspects of agency operations, finances, and human resources. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, a master’s degree in Business Administration, and holds a Certified Facilities Manager accreditation from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
During his more than 30-year tenure with Collier County Government, Dan has served in previous roles such as the Department Head for the Public Services Department, Deputy Department Head for the Public Utilities Department, Director of the Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Division, and Manager of the Facilities Management Division. Throughout his career, the departments and divisions he has managed have been recognized at the state and national level for efficiency and excellence. His team’s achievements include building the County’s first gas-to-energy facility, restoring government services after Hurricane Irma, raising the County’s recycling level from 13% to 68%, and leading the Hurricane Wilma debris removal mission.
Dan lives and works committed to a set of core values based on protecting the environment, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring regulatory compliance and safety. He believes public service is one of the most rewarding professions and truly enjoys serving the public.
His commitment to customer service is paramount as he carries this into action with his personal motto: “Deeds, not Words.”

Ed brings to the table a wealth of experience, boasting over two decades of dedicated service in local government financial and operational roles within Collier County. Complementing this extensive tenure, Ed has accrued a decade of invaluable experience in the private sector, specifically in Commercial Construction.
Notably, Ed's professional journey includes a pivotal period as the Collier County Water and Wastewater Director and Public Works Administrator from 1997 to 2000, where he played a crucial role in shaping the county's infrastructure landscape. This background attests to his deep understanding of the intricacies of government finance and budgeting.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Ed was appointed Deputy County Manager in July 2022. In this capacity, he undertakes the oversight of a substantial budget, managing a portfolio that includes $34 million in Facilities Capital Improvement Projects. Among these projects, the Paradise Sports Complex stands out as a testament to Ed's leadership.
Furthermore, Ed shoulders the responsibility of steering $420 million in Infrastructure Surtax Projects. Notable among these initiatives are the Veterans’ Nursing Home, Collier County Mental Health Facility, and Career & Tech Training Center, reflecting his commitment to projects that enhance the community's well-being.
Ed's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, underscoring his academic prowess and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ed is an avid enthusiast of cycling and running. His passion has led him to accomplish remarkable feats, including completing over 50 marathons across the United States and participating in races in diverse locations such as China, Antarctica, and Brazil. This dedication to both professional and personal pursuits exemplifies Ed's well-rounded and dynamic character.
