Collier County MedFlight is proud to announce that we have, once again, been awarded accreditation on June 2, 2021.

The brand new Airbus Helicopters - H135T3H helicopter is here and is now in service helping our community! October 2020 saw the arrival of the helicopter after an eleven-month build-out and completion by Airbus Germany, Airbus USA, and Metro Aviation.

All pilots, mechanics, and flight medics have been trained and the aircraft has been certified to fly patients by the Federal Aviation Authority and the State of Florida.

The aircraft, now designated as MedFlight1 was placed in service on January 11, 2021. Our previous aircraft will continue to serve the community as a spare, which is the first time our life-saving MedFlight program has had a spare aircraft in its 40+ years of service!

MedFlight is located at Naples Municipal Airport, primarily as a pre-hospital MEDEVAC care provider. MedFlight covers over 2,000 square miles which makes up Collier County, in addition to mutual aid response to surrounding counties. Over 90 percent of responses are on-scene calls, assisting ground units in transporting patients from rural areas to local and non-local area hospitals.
