The mission of Collier County Emergency Management is to promote the building of a vibrant and progressive disaster resistant community through disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities.

Emergency Management achieves this mission through leading the community planning efforts, facilitating the disaster preparedness training and exercising the plans through drills for all the hazards Collier County could experience.

The department is prepared to activate the Emergency Operations Center during any major disaster to allow coordination of all support agencies to provide continuity of services to the public. Emergency Management also provides field and technical support to first responders and others during non-disaster situations.
