In order to address growing housing issues in Collier County, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners has contracted with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) to evaluate the County’s situation and make recommendations through an interdisciplinary Advisory Services Panel.

The Urban Land Institute is the nation’s premier nonprofit urban planning and real estate education and research institution, representing the entire spectrum of land use and development disciplines. The ULI program was a week-long exercise which includes substantial interaction with community stakeholders.

The Panel’s week-long process culminated with a public presentation of the ULI’s review and preliminary recommendation. That presentation was held Friday, Feb. 3, and you can read the results.   View the Community Housing Plan.

You can also read the briefing book the County prepared in advance of the ULI visit, including information on the housing issues, specific housing-related issues facing the community and key questions.
