Since 1975, the primary goal of the Homemaker Services Program is to assist the functionally impaired elderly in greatest social and economic need to live independently in their homes as long as possible. This is accomplished by providing general routine household chores, grocery and shopping assistance, and other essential tasks to assist elders. Special emphasis is placed on isolated rural areas of Collier County in an effort to reach potential clients, particularly minorities who are economically and socially deprived. Our goal is to ensure eligible individuals receive assistance to continue to live independently. This is especially important when the person is homebound, no support is available, and without this service, deterioration will be immediate or occur in a very short time.
Who should be referred?
Any resident of Collier County 60 and older is eligible to be referred for Homemaker Services. Potential applicants are screened and services are provided by Homemaker Aides through an outside subcontractor.

- Assisting clients with physical impairments to perform or manage essential homemaker tasks
- Support Services
- Meal Preparation
- Shopping
- Laundry
- Light Housekeeping
- Chores
Funding
Funding is made available through Senior Choices of SW Florida, State Department of Elder Affairs, Collier County Board of County Commissioners, and assessed co-payments based on a sliding scale.
