How to Apply?

To apply for Collier County Services for Seniors call the Area Agency on Aging Help Line at (866)-413-5337. The Help Line is the central telephone number for assistance to locate local services.

Resource specialists familiar with programs available to the elderly answer each call.

The Help Line is answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. During weekends and evening hours, callers may leave a message, which will be promptly answered the next business day.

In addition, you may also visit the website for Collier County Senior Housing Resources.  This website discusses all services available for seniors living in Florida, outlines helpful state programs for seniors and allows to find assisted living facilities in every city, town and county in Florida. 

Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP)

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP) assists low-income households, with at least one person age 60 and older, when the households are experiencing a home energy emergency.

A home energy emergency may result from a past due utility bill or the receipt of a shut off notice. Payments are for home heating or cooling up to $5,000 per year, and up to $15,000 a year for purchase of an air conditioning system.  At least one individual age 60 or older in the home, and

  • A gross household annual income equal to or less than 100 percent of the state median income.  
  • If  household income is higher than the 100% SMI -  proof of SSI, SNAP or TANF is required.

Senior Volunteer Opportunities

RSVP of Collier County invites you to receive the joys of volunteering! The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for seniors and retirees age 55 years or older to make a difference in their community.
